After the successful roll-out of rail milling technology in Australia and a long term rental agreement with Deutsche Bahn for the largest rail milling train available to date (MG31), Linmag continues its expansion path and has now signed a 7-year service contract with Irish Rail. On September 27, a technology demonstration day has been held in Port Laoise – a major rail junction in Ireland - to show how rail milling works are carried out in the field. Irish Rail Chief Civil Engineer Éamonn Ballance and Linmag CEO Ing. Mag. Günter Holleis welcomed the Austrian Ambassador Dr. Thomas Nader, Commercial Delegate Mag. Wilhelm Nest and Minister Counsellor Stephanie Winkler and numerous representatives from Irish Rail. Also potential customers from Northern Ireland and the tram operator in Dublin witnessed the technology’s cleanliness and special capabilities regarding outstanding finish quality.
